Pangang Group Company Ltd. (referred to as Pangang) is a super-large vanadium-titanium iron and steel enterprise group developed by relying on the rich vanadium-titanium magnetite resources in Panxi area and relying on independent innovation. After more than 50 years of construction and development, Pangang has been at the world's leading level in the comprehensive utilization of vanadium-titanium magnetite resources. It is a leading vanadium-producing enterprise in the world, a core titanium raw material in my country and a titanium processing enterprise with a complete industrial chain. my country's important production bases of railway steel, automobile steel, household appliance steel and special steel are mainly distributed in Panzhihua City, Liangshan Prefecture, Chengdu City, Mianyang City, Chongqing City, Guangxi Beihai City and other places in Sichuan Province.

The construction of Pangang is a major strategic decision made by the party and the state to develop Panxi resources, change the layout of my country's iron and steel industry, and build the third line. Pangang was founded in 1965. The first phase of construction was extremely arduous. Iron was tapped in 1970, steel was tapped in 1971, and steel was tapped in 1974. This ended the history of no large iron and steel enterprises in western my country. Pangang started construction of the second phase project in 1986, and it was basically completed in 1997, achieving a higher variety scale and ending the history of inability to produce plates in western my country. Since 2001, Pangang has actively promoted the technological transformation of "material transformation into high-quality goods", implemented cross-regional joint reorganization, and built a new base for comprehensive utilization of vanadium and titanium resources in Xichang. In May 2010, it reorganized with Anshan Iron and Steel Group and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation.

The Panxi region where Pangang is located is one of the regions richest in mineral resources in my country and even in the world, it is the second largest iron ore area in my country, containing tens of billions of tons of vanadium-titanium magnetite resources. The reserves of vanadium resources account for 52% of China's total, and the reserves of titanium resources account for 95% of China's total. More than 10 rare and precious mineral resources such as gallium and scandium, with extremely high comprehensive utilization value.

The technology and varieties of vanadium industry are leading in the world, and it has a series of products such as vanadium pentoxide, medium vanadium iron, high vanadium iron, vanadium trioxide, vanadium nitrogen alloy and so on. The variety and quality of the titanium industry is leading in China, and it has a series of products such as titanium concentrate, titanium dioxide, high-titanium slag, sponge titanium, and titanium materials. The iron and steel industry has a series of high-quality brand-name products represented by heavy rails, plates, and special steel. The products are widely used in metallurgy, petroleum, railway, chemical industry, shipbuilding, construction, machinery manufacturing, household appliances and other industries. They sell well in China and are exported to dozens of countries and regions such as Europe, America and Southeast Asia.
