In addition, Xiangtan Steel has obtained 210mm thick rack steel certification from 6 classification societies, which is the largest thickness currently certified in China.
Extra-thick rack steel is mainly used in key structures such as wind power installation vessels and self-elevating offshore platform pile legs... It must have high strength, high toughness, and a dense and uniform core, and is very difficult to produce.
In recent years, Xiangtan Steel has adhered to the development direction of "high-end quality and brand" and its R&D capabilities have been continuously enhanced. Facing the large-scale development trend of marine engineering structures and the "large unit weight" requirement for key steel, Xiangtan Steel has increased its R&D efforts and solved a series of production problems. It currently has the production capacity of extra-thick and extra-heavy rack steel plates with a maximum thickness of 210 mm and a maximum unit weight of 33 tons.
