At 15:36 on February 28, with the start-up of the booster fan, the No. 1 blast furnace hot blast furnace flue gas ultra-low emission technical transformation project in KISC New District officially entered the heat load test stage. So far, the thermal load test run is stable, and all export indicators have reached the national ultra-low emission standards.
It is reported that the use of an ammonia desulfurization system for hot blast furnaces is the first of its kind in the country. Compared with traditional desulfurization, this technology has higher desulfurization efficiency and lower operating costs. The success of this thermal load test marks that my country has made a new breakthrough in the field of hot blast furnace ammonia desulfurization technology.
The four hot blast furnaces supporting the No. 1 blast furnace system in Kungang New District share one flue gas outlet and are not equipped with flue gas treatment facilities. Based on the ultra-low emission requirements for the steel industry by the country and Yunnan Province, Wuhan Iron and Steel Group Kunming Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. took the lead in building the Anning base into an ultra-low emission steel demonstration production base in Yunnan Province. Wugang Group Kunming Steel & Iron Co., Ltd. entrusted Tianlang Environmental Protection to adopt BOO model construction, implementing flue gas desulfurization ultra-low emission technical renovation project for the hot blast furnace system of blast furnace 1# and 2# in the new area.
After the project is put into operation, the treated flue gas meets the requirements of the "Opinions on Promoting the Implementation of Ultra-Low Emissions in the Steel Industry" {Huanqi Atmosphere [2019] No. 35} for particulate matter ≤10mg/Nm³, nitrogen oxides ≤200mg/Nm³, and SO₂ concentration ≤50mg /Nm³ emission requirements, SO₂ emission reduction is about 200 tons/year.
The smooth commissioning of the project provides a strong guarantee for Tianlang Environmental Protection to implement industrial flue gas treatment and optimize desulfurization operation services. It has also formed a good demonstration effect for the organized ultra-low emission transformation work of KISC Anning Base. It provides valuable experience for the promotion and application of ammonia desulfurization technology in hot blast furnaces across the country.
