Accompanied by highly corrosive media, the mining conditions for oil casing are extremely harsh, and drilling and production are very difficult. In the past, core oil casings for ultra-deep wells in the ocean with high temperatures and high pressure have always relied on imports, but now this situation has been broken.
The BGT3-HT high-gas-tight anti-torsion casing independently developed by Baosteel has been successfully applied to key offshore oil and gas production projects, helping a gas field in the Bohai Sea to successfully go into production and obtain high-yield oil and gas flow. This indicates that Baosteel has broken the industry's technical barriers in the research development and manufacturing of core oil casing for marine high-temperature, high-pressure, and ultra-deep wells, filling the domestic gap and strongly supporting the exploration and development of large-scale oil and gas resources in my country's deep marine areas.

Luo Meng and his team members overcame technical difficulties such as joint sealing integrity, corrosion resistance, and high torsion resistance. After two years, they completed the drilling plan demonstration, product trial production, on-site certification, and other work. The casing's internal pressure resistance, high-temperature resistance, torsion resistance, and other indicators have reached the international advanced level.
The high alloy casing for marine use has high requirements for quality stability and great difficulty in production control. The Steel Pipe and Strip Steel Division attaches great importance to it and actively arranges production: the Manufacturing Management Department has detailed the production control plan for key processes such as steelmaking, pipe rolling, heat treatment, flaw detection, and pipe processing, and finely controls each core control point during the production process; the seamless steel pipe factory adopts the latest developed rolling process to improve the dimensional accuracy and appearance quality of the steel pipe, ensuring that the product size, mechanical properties, thread parameters, and appearance quality meet user requirements, and successfully completed the production of the first batch of high-temperature and high-pressure good casing for marine use; the Sales Department (trading company) is user-centric, provides full-time good service, and provides 24-hour tracking and technical services to ensure that the casing is safely and efficiently put into the well.
