Recently, Shougang's high-end corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant steel for agricultural machinery has been successfully applied to the manufacturing of key corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant parts for no-till seeders. The product has shown good performance superior to imported materials in large-scale cultivation practices on the black soil in Northeast China and has won praise from users, achieving an important breakthrough in the localization of key corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant materials for no-till seeders.

As one of the important pillars of agricultural production in my country, the black soil in Northeast China is a unique fertile soil formed by natural conditions over tens of thousands of years and is known as the "giant panda" in the field of cultivated land. The country strengthens ecological environmental construction and implements the action plan for protective cultivation of the black soil in Northeast China. Among them, no-till seeding is favored by the industry as an important means to promote sustainable production of black soil. Due to the complex soil environment, it is necessary to deal with multiple adverse factors such as wear, impact, and corrosion, and customers' requirements for raw materials for manufacturing no-till seeders will become higher.

Faced with bottleneck problems, Shougang has established a production, sales, and research team to cooperate with downstream processing plants and end users to carry out research and development and promotion of corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant steel for no-till seeders. In the process of material research and development, the Shougang team broke through the current composition design limitations of corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant steel for agricultural machinery, filled the production gap of this composition system in the field of hot-rolled coils, and innovatively developed the uniformity control technology of organization and hardness to achieve improved wear resistance; by improving the dimensional accuracy of hot pressing and quenching, the accuracy and long life during service were guaranteed. They solved a series of core technical problems by optimizing alloy composition and other means. Compared with imported materials, Shougang's high-end corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant steel for agricultural machinery has achieved a 36% improvement in corrosion resistance and a 46% improvement in wear resistance. Shougang's corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant steel is supplied in batches for the manufacture of no-till seeders. It has withstood the severe test of complex soil conditions in large-scale farmland cultivation. The corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the products are better than imported materials and have been unanimously praised by leading enterprises.

In recent years, as the only participating steel mill in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's agricultural machinery equipment material production and application demonstration platform, Shougang has carried out collaborative innovation with downstream enterprises, jointly developed several key materials, and continuously created competitive advantages in subdivided fields, contributing Shougang's strength to the manufacturing of domestic large-scale agricultural machinery high-end equipment.
