Recently, Shanxi Jianlong developed 760MPa solid high-strength welding wire steel and completed offline testing and application in the customer's factory.

The product's mechanical properties, such as yield strength and tensile strength of the deposited metal, have reached the matching standard of 760MPa high-strength steel plates. It marks that Shanxi Jianlong has made a breakthrough in high-strength welding wire steel.

Against the background of the global goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality," metal materials continue to develop in the direction of high strength and high performance. This trend not only promotes the lightweight process of building structures, engineering equipment, automobiles, bridges, shipbuilding, transportation, and other industries but also makes positive contributions to reducing the use of steel materials and reducing energy consumption. The matching of welding materials is one of the key conditions for the application of high-strength steel. Because of its difficulty in research development and production, it has now become an important research topic in the field of materials and welding.

It requires strict control of S, P, O, and N content. In addition, to ensure welding quality, the requirements for the content of residual elements such as Al and Ca are also relatively stringent. Third, the final wire diameter is small (Φ0.8-1.2mm). Customers require products with high strength and good drawing performance. This requires strict control of inclusions, design of appropriate wire rod controlled rolling and controlled cooling processes, and precise control to obtain ideal microstructure and surface quality.
