The key orders for X60MO pipeline steel for submarine pipelines this time are products with a thickness of more than 14 mm, which have very strict requirements on strength index and low-temperature toughness, and new CTOD performance requirements (CTOD is a method for measuring low-temperature toughness, which is higher than the conventional low-temperature impact test requirements). This performance is the first development and verification of Rizhao Company's hot-rolled products, and the development is extremely difficult.
In response to customers' strict technical performance requirements, Rizhao Company's Science and Technology Quality Center and the production plant conducted a thorough design analysis, formulated strict protection measures, adopted high-clean steel smelting technology, and did a lot of work in terms of composition, internal quality of ingots, ingot edge defects, and temperature uniformity control of the entire steel coil, to achieve stable and controllable quality.
Faced with the actual situation of tight delivery time and heavy tasks, the production, sales, and research team formulated a delivery plan, timely grasped the problems in production, and formulated subsequent production guarantee measures to ensure that various performance indicators are stable and controllable, and ensure timely delivery of products. The technicians tracked the use of customers' products throughout the process, and customers gave high praise to the product quality.
