Consumer goods, gifts, furniture and home decorations are a big part of the five-day exhibition, demonstrating Chinese exporters' determination to explore overseas sales, according to the fair's organizers.
Xinhui Rixing Stainless Steel Products Co, which was established in 1998 in Xinhui of Guangdong, for example, brought a series of stainless steel non-stick frying pans, restaurant pots and square plates to meet different market desires, the company said.
"We have invited overseas buyers in advance to reunite during the fair, after three-years of online exhibitions (due to the global COVID-19 pandemic), showcasing new products during in-person negotiation," said a company sales manager surnamed Liu.
In response to new market trends in international trade, the second phase of the fair has set up a maternity and baby product exhibition area for the first time, organizers said.
Additionally, an import exhibition area was established during the second phase, attracting about 130 companies from 26 countries and regions to display products ranging from gifts and kitchen tools to household goods.
Transactions of exports during the first phase of the fair, which concluded on Wednesday, reached $12.8 billion, with more than 1.26 million visitors, organizers said.
