Recently, the first batch of jackets for the Saudi Aramco CRPO122 project, which was supplied by Maanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. and contracted by Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd., was completed in Qingdao. This marks key progress in the construction of my country's first Saudi Aramco offshore oil and gas independent general contracting project. This achievement is of great significance for further expanding the Middle East market, promoting the "Belt and Road" oil and gas cooperation, and developing it to a deeper level.

Over the years, relying on its excellent technical accumulation and brand strength, Maanshan Iron and Steel H-shaped steel has been widely used in various marine projects such as ports and offshore stone platforms. Maanshan Iron and Steel's H-shaped steel has been highly recognized and trusted by domestic and foreign contractors and customers for its high strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance. In October 2023, Maanshan Iron and Steel (Wuhu) Materials Technology Co., Ltd. actively seized market opportunities and cooperated directly with Offshore Oil Engineering (Qingdao) Company to supply nearly 1,000 tons of Maanshan Iron and Steel H-beam products.

The CRPO122 project supplied by Maanshan Iron and Steel this time is the first Saudi Aramco project that Offshore Oil Engineering Company has undertaken as an independent EPCI general contractor. The project is located in the Saudi Safaniya Oilfield, the largest offshore oil field in the world, about 165 miles north of Dhahran in the Arabian Gulf, with a maximum water depth of about 43 meters. Offshore Oil Engineering Company is responsible for the design, procurement, construction, and installation of 13 platform jackets (including steel piles and riser casings) weighing approximately 25,000 tons. The CRPO122 project has the characteristics of being "short, flat, and fast" with high technical difficulty and high-quality standards. Under the contractor's size and performance requirements for H-shaped steel, Maanshan Iron and Steel arranged the production organization promptly, ensured product quality throughout the process, and completed product delivery, providing strong support for the completion of the jacket as scheduled.
