From June 20 to 21, the Shougang Jingtang Steel Rolling Department MCCR production line broke records in thin product production and continuous casting furnace number, setting a record of successful trial production of 0.75mm ultra-thin products and 29 furnaces of molten steel and 1006 minutes of uninterrupted continuous casting. This marks that Shougang Jingtang Company has achieved a breakthrough in driving the world's first fully continuous multi-mode casting and rolling production line.
Jingtang Steel has achieved many breakthroughs, including breaking the record of 81 furnaces and 82 furnaces per day in the steel rolling department's converter double furnaces, breaking the record of continuous casting of casting machines many times, and mass production of 1,000 tons of 0.8mm ultra-thin products.
The trial production of 0.75mm ultra-thin specifications was successful.
The production of 0.8mm specifications is the design limit of the MCCR production line. This is a strict test of the functional accuracy of the production line equipment, the R&D capabilities of the production line professionals, and the technical level of production operation. To ensure the one-time success of the trial production, the Steel Rolling Department worked closely with the Manufacturing Department and the Technology Center. Based on the batch rolling of 0.8 mm products, the Steel Rolling Department continuously sorted out and analyzed the key control points, comprehensively improved the whole process elements such as the production line rolling process, equipment guarantee, model control, and operation technology level, and carried out a series of simulation tests around the production of ultra-thin products less than 0.8 mm, laying a solid foundation for successful production.
The continuous casting machine achieved the continuous casting of 29 furnaces.
Before production, the Steel Rolling Department carefully summarized the previous experience of continuous casting of multiple furnaces, comprehensively optimized the production control measures, reasonably arranged the production plan and production process, and summarized and analyzed the use of refractory materials, improved the materials of important components, optimized the relevant processes and control data, and improved the performance and input methods of protective slag and covering agents, while increasing the number of furnaces to ensure that various indicators are not affected. During the casting period, each process was coordinated efficiently. The steelmaking and refining processes ensured the smelting cycle and molten steel quality of the varieties with the highest standards, and the temperature and composition of the molten steel were precisely controlled within the specified range. The point maintenance personnel strengthened the coordination with the production posts, carried out channel inspections, and eliminated equipment hidden dangers to ensure smooth production. During production, the operators operated accurately, stabilized the pouring and rolling, kept a close eye on the changes in the casting process parameters, and adjusted and tracked in time, ensuring that the continuous casting machine always remained efficient and stable during the production process.
The breaking of the double records of casting and rolling this time marks that the MCCR production line has reached a new level in improving its manufacturing capacity, and has broadened the "new track" for Jingtang products in the fierce industry competition.
