Recently, Baosteel casing was successfully lowered into the Tako 1 well in the Tarim Oilfield of PetroChina, setting a record for the deepest casing in Asia, and once again demonstrating the excellent quality of Baosteel casing products with high strength, high toughness and corrosion resistance.
The Tako 1 well in the Tarim Oilfield is the first scientific exploration well in my country with a depth of more than 10,000 meters. The geological conditions are complex and the engineering is extremely difficult, which poses a severe challenge to the performance of the casing. At the beginning of the design, Baosteel relied on its strong R&D and production strength to participate deeply in it and contributed Baosteel solutions to the deep engineering.
During the Spring Festival in 2024, the Tako 1 well was drilled deep underground, setting a record for the deepest well in Asia and becoming the world's second ultra-deep well with a vertical depth of more than 10,000 meters on land. With the continuous follow-up of the sales, R&D, manufacturing, and after-sales service teams, Baosteel fully utilized its R&D and manufacturing advantages, paid three-dimensional and full attention to every detail of casing production, ensuring that the high-quality special pipes required for the project were 100% qualified and delivered on schedule, driving the iterative upgrade of oil equipment manufacturing.
On the basis of providing high-quality casing products, Baosteel continues to provide high-quality technical services to users and actively cooperates with Tarim Oilfield to carry out subsequent drilling and casing lowering work. At about 4 pm on August 10, the casing produced by Lubao Steel Pipe began to be lowered into the well. Baosteel's technical and after-sales service teams were stationed at the front line of the project around the clock, formulating a scientific, reasonable and controllable casing lowering operation process and keeping a close eye on the process of each casing buckle-up operation. On the afternoon of August 11, all the casings were successfully lowered into place.
