1. The difference in appearance
The most direct difference between stainless steel seamless pipes and stainless steel decorative pipes is their appearance. The lengths of seamless pipes are basically inconsistent, while the lengths of stainless steel decorative pipes are basically fixed. The surface of stainless steel decorative pipes is mirrored, while stainless steel seamless pipes are gray-white.
2. Differences in technology
Stainless steel seamless pipe is a long steel material with a hollow section and no seams around it. The thicker the wall thickness of this product, the more economical and practical it is. The thinner the wall thickness, its the processing cost will increase; the process of this product determines its limited performance, and it uses round tube blanks, it is perforated as a raw material and made through cold rolling, cold drawing, or hot extrusion production processes. There are no welding spots on the pipe. Generally, seamless steel pipes have low precision: uneven wall thickness, low brightness on the inside and outside of the pipe, high cost of sizing, and pitting and black spots on the inside and outside that are difficult to remove; its detection and shaping must be processed offline. Therefore, it reflects its superiority in terms of high pressure, high strength, and mechanical structural materials.
1. The production process is different.
Stainless steel decorative pipes are made of steel strips that are crimped and welded through units and molds. The welding method is the direct welding of pipes.
Seamless pipes are made of perforated round steel and are produced using cold rolling, cold drawing, or hot extrusion technology.
2. The surface is different.
Stainless steel decorative pipes have small wall thickness tolerances, very uniform wall thickness throughout the circumference, high precision, and high brightness on the inner and outer surfaces of the pipes. They can be arbitrarily cut to length or made into thin-walled pipes.
Seamless steel pipes have low precision, uneven wall thickness, low brightness on the inner and outer surfaces of the pipe, high fixed-size costs, and pitting and black spots on the inner and outer surfaces that are difficult to remove. Therefore, the wall of seamless steel pipe is relatively thick.
3. The welding performance is different.
Due to the different chemical compositions of the materials, the steel used to produce decorative pipes contains chemical compositions suitable for welding. For example, elements such as silicon, sulfur, manganese, oxygen, and triangular ferrite are mixed in a certain proportion to produce a welding melt that is easy to transfer heat during the welding process and weld the whole.
The steel composition used to produce seamless pipes can only meet the basic requirements of ASTM. Without the above-mentioned chemical components, various unstable factors will occur during the welding process, making it difficult to weld.
