There are several channels for FBA shipping, such as direct consolidation and unpacking. Although both of these are bulk cargo consolidations, they have different channels, operations, and prices.
Direct consolidating means that the cabinets are assembled and sent directly to the FBA warehouse. After customs clearance and picking up the cabinets at the terminal, the tow truck will directly tow the cabinets to the FBA warehouse without any transfers on the way. Since there is no need to dismantle the cabinets, the cost will be less. Generally, only the more popular large warehouses have direct sales, such as 8 large warehouses: ONT8, LGB8, LAX9, SMF3, SCK1, FTW1, IND9, MEM1, and ABE8. These warehouses have a large volume of goods, and several or dozens of containers of goods are sent directly to each warehouse. Can save a lot of logistics costs. However, warehouses outside these warehouses do not have this channel.
Unpacking involves sending goods from different warehouses into containers. After customs clearance and picking up the containers, they are transferred to overseas warehouses for unpacking and then delivered by truck to the designated FBA warehouse. US East generally unpacks containers at overseas warehouses in Los Angeles, US-China unpacks containers in Chicago, and US East unpacks containers in Atlanta and New York. If it is shipped to New York for unpacking, the delivery time will be a few days slower. If it is unpacked in Los Angeles and then shipped to the East United States, it will be faster, but the relative cost will be higher. There are also many warehouses for delivery, and delivery is basically possible as long as the warehouse is not very remote.
