The production process for silicon steel consists of four processes: pickling, cold stamping, annealing and insulation coating. Of these, pickling prevents defects on the surface of the finished cold rolled product. The insulating coating improves the process-ability of silicon steel and prevents the loss of eddy currents which is equivalent to the thickness of the steel plate itself. The production of silicon steel under Chinese standards can meet the requirements of most countries for industrial and agricultural use.
