When the hot-dip galvanized sheet is in a humid atmosphere, especially when the air contains acidic substances such as CO2 and SO2, loose white rust will quickly form on the surface of the galvanized layer. Its main components are zinc oxide (ZnO) and zinc hydroxide (Zn(OH)2). This kind of white rust not only affects the appearance, but also makes future use difficult. To prevent this phenomenon from happening prematurely, chemical treatment is often performed immediately after hot-dip galvanizing. Oiling is an anti-rust measure. Hot-dip galvanizing units are often equipped with an oiling device before the coiler. Oiling methods include roller oiling, electrostatic oiling, etc.

If the corrosion of the steel plate is very serious, the steel plate needs to be coated with another layer of zinc. If the corrosion is not serious, first use very fine sandpaper dipped in water and sand it in a straight line to gently remove the rust spots. After it is completely wiped off, apply a layer of primer.
