PC Strand Wire

Pre-stressed concrete strand (PC strand) is a high-grade, low-relaxation, 7-strand steel cord used in the reinforcement and strengthening of pre-stressed concrete structures. Because it is used in critical applications, this strand consists of high-carbon steel with a high tensile strength, manufactured to the highest quality standards to ensure its durability. PC strand is available in several different thicknesses, ranging between .25 inches and .6 inches in diameter.

PC Strand Wire is a high-strength steel wire for prestressed concrete structures, also known as prestressed steel strands. PC is the abbreviation of prestressed concrete (prestressed concrete). PC steel wire is usually made of multiple steel wires through twisting, which has high strength and durability, and can be used to strengthen and enhance the load-bearing capacity of concrete structures. Features of PC steel wire
1. High strength
PC steel wire is a very strong material with high strength. In the building structure, it can greatly improve the bearing capacity of the building. Generally speaking, the bearing capacity of PC steel wire can reach more than twice that of ordinary steel bars.
2. Good tensile strength
PC strands wire are made up of many tiny steel cables that are stretched tightly inside the building structure. Due to the tightness of the steel cables, the load-bearing capacity of the building structure has been greatly improved. Compared with ordinary steel bars, PC steel wire have better tensile properties.
3. Corrosion

Application
1）Our PC strand wire is mainly used for the reinforcement of prestressed concrete structures, such as large-span railway and road bridges, major bridges, silos, buildings, dams, floor slabs, foundations, large concrete vessels, atomic reactor buildings, stadiums, airport hangers, pre-cast segments, crane beams, anchorages and multi-storey industrial buildings etc.
2）Our PC strand wire is also used for the construction of highways, poles and water towers in civil construction, and energy source sea transportation, house buildings, water control projects, and rock and earth anchoring components to increase the tensile force.

Standards for prestressed concrete (PC) strands may vary from country to country. The following are general standard names in this regard for some countries (China, UK, US, Japan),

Chinese standard (GB/T):
Prestressed concrete steel strands GB/T 5224-2014, this standard applies to steel strands for prestressed concrete structures (hereinafter referred to as steel strands) twisted by cold-drawn round steel wires and scored steel wires.
Threaded steel bars for prestressed concrete GB/T 20065-2016, this standard is applicable to threaded steel bars for prestressed concrete produced by hot rolling, residual heat treatment or heat treatment after rolling.

British Standard (BS):

American Standard (ASTM):
