Recently, Xiangtan Steel completed the production and delivery of the first batch of steel plates for the China Resources Lianjiang Offshore Wind Power Project. The project will use 18MW offshore wind turbines in batches, making it the country's largest single-unit offshore wind power project.
The first batch of wind power steel orders for the China Resources Lianjiang Offshore Wind Power Project were emergency purchases, which not only had high requirements for product quality but also had strict standards for steel plate thickness. The delivery time was also very tight, and concentrated production and delivery in a short period of time faced great pressure. After the order was signed, Xianggang immediately organized relevant units to quickly coordinate, optimize process connection, meet customer needs, and win a good reputation.
It is reported that the project is located in the sea area east of Lianjiang, Fujian, with a planned installed capacity of 700 megawatts. After completion, the project is expected to generate 3.3 billion kWh of electricity annually, save about 950,000 tons of standard coal, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 2.6 million tons, which has very significant environmental benefits.
