Recently, a new batch of high-end special wear-resistant steel NM450Tuf customized and developed by Handan Iron and Steel Company of Hesteel Group was delivered to a well-known domestic engineering machinery manufacturing company to replace imported products and be used in the manufacture of blades for large-scale mine sand and soil discharge engineering machinery. The wear-resistant steel product has better low-temperature toughness, welding performance, and wear resistance than imported products, fully meeting the high-standard needs of customers, and more than 900 tons have been supplied so far.

Handan Steel's wear-resistant steel technical marketing team has in-depth exchanges, communication, and docking with customers, accurately identifying the material performance standards required by customers, and custom-developing a new wear-resistant steel product NM450Tuf in response to customers' requirements that products need to maintain good low-temperature toughness, high strength, high wear resistance, and good welding performance at -20°C. During the research and development process, technicians optimized the design of the microalloying system, accurately controlled the element content, and adopted a precise calcium treatment inclusion modification process and a billet stacking slow cooling hydrogen release process to improve the impact toughness of the product during low-temperature service; optimized the design of high-strength-toughness matching and uniform wear rolling, cooling, and heat treatment processes, improved the control level of austenite recrystallization rolling, and used temperature and speed control methods for quenching and cooling to achieve low internal stress, high straightness, and good comprehensive performance matching. After the product is delivered, Handan Steel arranges special personnel to follow up on the customer's processing and use, and provides key welding process parameters to resist the impact and wear performance of the weld to ensure smooth processing, forming, and application by customers.
