Recently, the SA533-304 stainless steel composite plate jointly developed by Wugang and its customers has been successfully rolled at the customer's processing site with good results, replacing imports. It will be used to construct the safety injection tank, a key component of the Lufeng Nuclear Power Station, my country's third-generation nuclear power plant.
Stainless steel composite plates have both the excellent mechanical properties of the base low alloy and the excellent corrosion resistance of the cladding stainless steel. They can achieve the complementary advantages of the performance of stainless steel composite plates and low alloy steels while saving precious alloy elements and reducing costs. They are widely used in the fields of petroleum, chemical industry, nuclear power, etc., and have great economic and social benefits.
Wugang is getting closer to the market and customers, strengthening in-depth docking with customers, and through embedded cooperation, further enhancing customer stickiness and improving product market competitiveness while creating greater value for customers. During the visit to customers, Wugang's R&D department learned that customers are promoting the localization of all steel used in the construction of the Lufeng Nuclear Power Station project. Wugang closely follows customer needs, focuses its services on the research and development of alternative application materials for customers, uses technology first to help product sales, and jointly develops SA533-304 stainless steel composite plate products with customers. Technical research was carried out around key issues such as high product strength and toughness requirements and high technical difficulty, overcoming the difficulties in changing the thermal conductivity and expansion coefficient caused by the different materials of the 304 stainless steel cladding and the SA533 base layer, solving the stress problems caused by different factors such as organizational transformation, solving the deformation problem of heat-treated steel plates, and ensuring good performance of the steel plates.
